Yet his overweening effort to categorically separate what masochism IS from what sadism IS and ne’er shall the twain meet is unconvincing, forced and a bit sloppy. It is unrealistic because a genuine sadist could never tolerate a masochistic victim.
He wrote on Spinoza, Nietzche, Kant, Leibniz and others, including literary authors and works, cinema, and art. Therefore, the project is one that moves beyond the purely clinical realm. One, because I want to read books this year and I think counting these as ajd separate books is fair.
