Meet Cute Romance – 4. The characters are well drawn This is a short from the author’s ‘Mirus’ paranormal series. Fae assassin, Ransom, offers her a chance at escape, but when she touches his hand, she sees only blood, horror, apocalypse.

This is the first story from Kait Nolan that I’ve read and I went online and bought 2 more immediately. This was a gripping read from beginning to end and I was very disappointed to finish it.
However, the story carries well and there is enough intriguing action to tempt the reader on. Ransom works for Bael at times but sees an opportunity to rescue Isla to take her to the underground who are a group that fights against people like Bael and many others, Ransom has his reasons in wanting to rescue Isla as well as giving her to the underground group.
The plot relies a little on conveniences a bit too easy to escape a highly guarded locale, throwing knives more deadly than bullets requires some suspension of disbelief but Nolan knows how to kick up the tension which makes up for it.
The story kidnaps you and drags you in, making you feel for and with the characters.
This installment in the Mirus series disappoints in only one way. Oh Isla, how I didn’t see you coming: For graphic designer Cecily Dixon, building a successful life on blndsight own terms, independent of her family’s name and wealth, has been an all-important goal. nollan It was a bit hard to follow in the beginning but I caught on near the end. I wanted to read more and find-out if Ransom will be okay and what happens with Isla. Pacing is handled admirably.

I was awake even later, wondering about details of a world where psychics, fae, and werewolves operated like the darkest underbelly of any crime syndicate. This was a great read. You get a sense of a very bad man but I also sense a good in him. Blindsght look forward to the series Mirus and blinsight try to get my feet wet with the other books. That’s something that will be more apparent to readers of the genre, but there were flags that signalled romance was a possibility.

I suspect it nokan whether I can find time and whether I discover other books with more content I prefer.
